内容記述 | Shoka is a song composed in Japan from the Meiji Period to the end of World WarⅡfor the music education of children in elementary school. Douyo is a song for children composed by poets and musicians with new movement in the Taisho Era (1912 to 1926). These songs are very familiar to Japanese people who have sung them since their childhood. For this study, ten songs were selected and traced. Some songs were eliminated from authorized music textbooks after World WarⅡ because they were infl uenced by militarism. However, many of the songs have been sung since the Meiji Period. Tracing the history of a song shows its close relationship with world movement and culture even if it is only a children’s song. It also reveals the efforts of those writing the lyrics and composing the songs. |
