It would thus be meaningful to undertake various studies on this Great War. At the end of the War in 1945, the author was a public primary school fi rst grader. Although he was just a small kid, he recalls those eventful hard days vividly. In the present article, he writes about his experiences and memories of those days, such as miserable daily lives caused by the war, terrors of air raids, collapse of all urban lives, and the whole turmoil caused by social changes ensuing thereafter. In view of those regrettable times, we must thank the fact that Japan has so far been a peaceful country. Since the number of people of younger generations who do not know about the last war is now increasing, the author would feel exceedingly happy if they could understand rightly the peaceful status of today’s Japan after they read his experiences and memories of those days described in this article.}, pages = {65--87}, title = {昭和20 年の国民学校一年生が体験した戦中・戦後の世相―戦争のない平和な社会の存続に向けて―}, volume = {8}, year = {2016}, yomi = {ナガオカ, ヒサオ} }
