Students usually undergo training over 5 days at a public health center from August to September of their third year. However, in 2020, the number of COVID-19 patients, increased sharply in Japan from July to September after the fi rst confi rmed case in January 2020. Due to the spread of this designated infectious disease, public nutrition training in Osaka Prefecture in 2020 was conducted within the student training facility. While giving consideration to infection prevention, the administrative dietitian and faculty members of the university repeatedly examined the training content and training method so that the learning goals could be achieved safely and surely.
