Results: The 304 units extracted from the student reports were classified into eight categories: the role of the home-visit nurse, characteristics of home-care nursing, collaboration of the professional staff , use of social resources, understanding of institutions, terminal care, art of home-visit nursing, and home medical treatment. Conclusion: Most of the nursing students were not able to visit patients at home.
