| 内容記述 | In an attempt to determine which factors contribute to the self-rated health among the elderly，a questionnaire survey and physical measurements were conducted in 53 elderly subjects (22 males and 31 females) who live self-sustained lives in a rural area with a population aging rate of 49.7%. The ages of the subjects ranged from 65 to 88 with an average of 72.6±6.8 years. Self-rated health was scored by using the visual analogue scale (VAS) with the optimal score of 10. The average score of our subject group was 6.6±1.9. The multiple regression analysis revealed that mental factors (stability of life，presence or absence of chronic diseases ) were significantly related to self-rated health. Neither systolic blood pressure nor bone area ratio was related to the score of VAS as the dependent variables. |
